Accounting Supervisor

Job DescriptionSupervisor, AccountingCoordinate and supervise various financial systems, including financial reporting, costing, inventory management and systems controls in accordance with Linamar/Eagle Manufacturing procedures.
Responsible for directing a group or section of general accountants.
May participate in complex general accounting projects.
Powering Vehicles, Motion, Work, and Lives since 1966.
Performance ExpectationsoEnsure compliance with all legislative requirements in the facility's geographic location and:
o The Global Operating System Plays;o OHSAS 18001:
2007 Health and Safety management system standard;o ISO 14001:
2004 Environmental Management system standard;o TS 16949 Technical Specification Management and Linamar Quality Basics system standards.
oSupport, Foster, Promote and Demonstrate Linamar's Core Values and Leadership Behaviors.
oMaintain balance between customer, employee and financial satisfaction by maximizing facility/department Performance Indicators to align to Linamar's Stepping Stool of Success Strategy.
oSupport and maintain department lean initiatives as set out in LPS system requirements.
o Maintain department 5S requirements.
oProvide monthly and yearly comparative financial information to management for planning and to foster continuous improvements.
oDevelop and maintain cost and profit estimates for new and existing product lines and generating monthly cost reports and trends.
oMaintain and make recommendations for an adequate information system to measure financial and operational results of the plant.
oWork closely with management in directing and controlling resources.
oMaintain and make recommendations regarding a system of internal control.
oTo ensure that all positions reporting to the Accounting Supervisor are filled with the appropriate persons.
oTo ensure that the company's accounting computing needs including EDI are met on an ongoing basis.
oTo ensure that statutory financial obligations including audit, tax and other.
oGovernment filings are completed on a timely and efficient manner.
oTo be available for special corporate assignments as requested.
oOversee the preparation of the calculations of the monthly accounting and tax depreciation of the company to two six-monthly and one annually.
oOversee and analyze the consistency of each and everyone of the accounts to look for simplifying the management accounting.
oOversee the proper recording of transactions that generates the companyCredentialsoBachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.

3oMinimum of 5 years experience in accounting.
Previous supervisory experience is an asset.
oInterpret tables graphs with financial variables to keep track of financial data.
oForecast revenue amounts and analyze cost of goods and services.
oAbility to identify training needs and train workers in job duties and company policies.
oPresent financial information to managers/supervisors/employees and provide workers with instructions.
oAbility to work as part of a team and interact with accountants and others locally and at the corporate level.
oIntermediate to advanced working knowledge of applicable software programs.
oRemain current in accounting legislative changes relative to the business.
oStrong organizational skills are required.
oStrong communication skills (both oral & written) are required.
oStrong analytical skills and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines is a mustoMust be able to move throughout all areas of the plant as required to perform duties.
oVisual ability with or without correction.
oMust be able to work a flexible schedule as needed.
oMust be flexible/adaptable to new ideas.
oMust be able to work in varying temperatures inside the facility.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
